How Doe Deere moved from being an Immigrant to owning a Make-up Company.

Doe Deere was born and raised in Izhevsk, Russia. Doe Deere later moved to New York City at seventeen together with her sister and mother. With the high living cost in New York and the little savings her mother had made as an accountant in Russia, it wasn’t easy meeting the expenses considering her mother’s academic records were delaying to be transferred. Things were tough for them and at some point, though they’ll go back to Russia. The tough situation forced them to move to a homeless shelter home in Lexington Avenue for six months.

While in the in the homeless shelter, Doe Deere had to escape the harsh reality of the situation by daydreaming as a fashion designer. With the continuing uncertainties in the homeless shelter, a great break came in the spring of 1999 when a social worker introduced them to the Family Sanctuary that was supporting women immigrants who were in bad states. With the help of lawyer Dorchen Leidhodt, her mother got an accounting job, and Doe Deere went to a Fashion Institute, and her sister was taken to Columbia University on a full scholarship.

In 2000, Doe Deere’s family was moved to East Harlem’s 110th street. After adopting a moniker in the late 2000s, Doe Deere discovered her passion in entrepreneurship that made her start Lime Crime, a makeup company that was successful. Today, the company has thirty-five employees in Los Angeles. Doe Deere has worked very hard to achieve her American dream where she has a beautiful home and successful, loving family.
